Mehndipur Balaji Dham: Location and Dieties
The Great Mehandipur Balaji temple is situated in Dausa district of the Indian state of Rajasthan and is located at a distance of 103 km from Jaipur and 40 km from Karauli and is quite close to the Bandikui railway station.
The temple is located 3 km towards the right on the Jaipur – Agra national highway.
The most famous and worshiped temple of Shri Mehndipur Balaji consists of the three deity in it. The first one is the main deity of Shri Balaji himself (Hanumana).
The second is of Shree Bhairav Baba, which is worshiped when the devotes come out of the main Balaji Deity temple. Bhairav baba is supposed to be a great powerful God of Balaji.
It is also believed that in the early days that the person possessed with the evils were hanged upon the great pot like vessel in the Bhairav Mandir, and then they were punished without affecting the person itself in any ways.
Devotes coming to the Balaji temple should worship Bhairav Baba to make their Darshan complete.
After worshiping and taking the darshan of Bhairav baba comes Pretraj Sarkar, whose deity is up on stairs from the Bhairav temple. Devotes worship the lord truly when they reach this Temple.
Pretraj Sarkar is supposed to be the lord of Balaji, who upon his commands brings the Evils from the body of possessed person and give it to Bhairav baba for the punishment.
Evil powers can not in any way be free from Shri Pretraj Sarkar when it is Caught by him.
Pretraj is supposed to be a powerful god and it is believed that the evils are gone by only sitting in the temple of Shri Pretraj sarkar in the Mehndipur Balaji Mandir.
History about Mehndipur Balaji Temple
According to legend, the present-day forms of the “Divine Trinity” found in the Mehandipur Dham appeared around one thousand years ago in a valley amidst the hills of the Aravali Range
.It was believed by some Mahant jis worshiped here for long time, that this area was covered by a thick and dense forest, full of wild animals, once upon a time.
One of the ancestors of Shri Mahantji had dreams in which Sri Balaji Maharaj had indicated three divine deities and a magnificent temple and had heard a divine voice in his dreams.
These voices ordered him to get up and be prepared for Sri Balaji Hanuman’s duty and do the pujas here. He was unable to see any one when he woke up.
He also can’t find any diety for years initially but after years of “Sadhna”, Lord Sri Balaji finally appeared and showed him the place in the forest where the temple and the three Divine Forms were found.
That ancestor of Shri Mahantji started doing “puja” and “arti” regularly at that sacred and holy spot in the forest itself. And after some years thousands of devotees of Lord Shri Balaji started coming every day to Mehandipur Balaji to pay homage.
It is the belief that lord Shri Balaji not only cure the “sankat” but also provide “riddi and Siddi”. It is also believed that the powers present here can make a dead man alive. And a person affected from any sort of evil powers can be cured here if a person truly worship and believe in Balaji.
There is a small pot at the feet of the “Presiding Deity” and the water in this pot never dries up due to continuous flow of “Blessed Holy Jal” from the left side of the chest of Lord Shri Balaji Hanuman.
