The Republic of India or Bhrat Gaarjya in Hindi, is a country in the South Asia region. By geographical area, India is the seventh largest country. In terms of population, it is the second largest. But who knows when they will beat China who tops the largest population in the world?

India is bounded by three big bodies of water, the Arabian Sea on the west, the Bay of Bengal on the east, and the Indian Ocean on the south. India features more than 7,000 kilometers of coastline. Neighboring countries include Pakistan to its west; China, Bhutan, and Nepal to north east; Bangladesh and Burma to the east; and Indonesia, Maldives, and Sri Lanka by the south.
